Stomach cancer or gastric cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the stomach which joins to form a tumour or a mass.It can occur in any part of the stomach.Usually diagnosed with endoscopy and CT scan .Usually through surgical procedure those tumours are removed along with the affected part of the stomach. Treatment includes surgery, gastrectomy along with chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
Oesophagogastrostomy
The upper portion of the stomach and a portion of the oesophagus are removed during an esophagogastrostomy.
After surgery patients may require chemotherapy/radiation therapy.
