• Acid Reflux: Patient complaints of retro sternal pain and burning

• GERD– Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease, where the lower esophageal sphincter is Lax or loose resulting in reflux of Acidic gastric juice to reflux into the Esophageal resulting in Reflux Esophagitis.In the long term, this may lead to changes in the epithelium lining the lower Esophagus leading to Barerett’s Esophagus.If left untreated this may lead to malignant transformation.

• Pylori : Helicobacter Pylori is a Bacteria causing Inflammation and Ulceration of Mucosa of the stomach. This may lead to Gastritis and Gastric Ulcer and needs proper treatment.

• Peptic Ulcer/ Gastric Ulcer /Duodenal Ulcer : These ulcers are caused by Increased Acidity and Break in the stomach leading to ulcerations.

• Haematemesis: This is a condition where there is vomiting of Blood may be caused by various conditions like Peptic Ulcer, tumors,varices.

• Esophageal Varices: These are dilated Blood vessels in the lower part of the Food pipe.These are formed as a result of Cirrhosis of the liver.These may brust and cause Blood vomiting and threat to life.

• Cirrhosis of Liver : This is caused as a progression of Fatty Liver or by Alcohol and Viral Infection like Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.The liver becomes shrunken, Nodular and Fibrosed leading to Liver failure.This may need Liver Transplantation.

• Fatty Liver: In this excessive deposition of fat in the Liver and the Liver becomes enlarged.This maybe caused by Obesity, Diabetes and by Alcohol Consumption.If left untreated, this may progress to Cirrhosis.

• Pancreatitis: This is Inflammatory and Enlargement of the Pancreas. This is classified as two types;

1. a) Acute Pancreatitis: Sudden onset of Pancreatic Inflammation which is caused mostly by alcohol or Gallbladder stones.

1. b) Chronic Pancreatitis: In this there is Chronic Inflammation of the Pancreas and is mostly associated with pancreatic stones and duct dilatation.Associated with Genetic Disorder,Alcohol Intake, tropical places- Tropical Pancreatitis.

• Inflammatory Bowel Disease IBD– Where there is Inflammatory of the Intestine and Thickening and Stricture formation IBD is of Two Types,

1. Ulcerative Colitis: Characteristics by Ulceration and Inflammation in the Large Intestine.

1. Chronic Disease: Where there is inflammation thickening and stricture formation more in the small Intestines. These are Characteristiced by recurrent diarrhea Blood and mucous in stools.

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome : Irritable Bowel Syndrome is Characterised by irritability of the Bowel and there are two types

1. A) Diarrheal Type
2. B) Constipative type
